Management Training &
Development |
| |
|
The Management Training & Development programmes aim to intensify an
awareness of & nurture a respect for:
Ones Self;
Others
& The Natural Environment
with an emphasis on affective wisdom and
relationships and utilisation of many
activities.
-
In developing ones
‘Self’, the programmes aim to develop: self-knowledge, self-
confidence, self-discipline, self-respect, physical
capabilities, appropriate skills; the attainment and experience
of success and the acceptance of responsibility and the
leadership of others.
-
Experiences with
others sharpen perceptions in relation to: planning, evaluation,
shared leadership, co-ordinating projects, identifying & using
total resources, respect, effective communication, identifying
personal characteristics & needs and in helping learning to take
place.
-
Operating within
the natural environment aims to develop an affinity with and
awareness of the natural environment, so valuing its natural
beauty. The outdoors can stimulate the imagination to interpret
its development and explain its forms & processes thus accepting
and understanding the importance of its conservation.
-
The development of
‘Self’ ‘Others’ & ‘The Natural Environment can be achieved
through the use of many activities. The activities – team
building & problem solving exercises, expeditions, exploration,
canoeing, mountaineering & rock climbing, are merely a tool to
allow for guided progression through direct experience and
decision making, appropriate to the situation.
